Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 September 2026
This policy explains what personal information GeekYo collects when you visit geek-yo.com or use the GeekYo AI platform, why we collect it, how we handle it and the choices available to you.
1. Who we are
GeekYo ("we", "us") develops and operates GeekYo AI, our multi-model aggregation platform. This policy covers our website at geek-yo.com, the GeekYo AI platform and our public APIs. For any question about this policy or your personal information, contact us at terrytao@geek-yo.com.
2. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information — the email address you register with, your display name and authentication credentials.
- Billing information — credit balance, top-up records and transaction history. Card and bank details are handled by our payment providers and are not stored on our servers.
- Usage information — API keys, request timestamps, model identifiers, token counts, credit consumption and error records.
- Content you submit — prompts, uploaded reference images or documents, and the outputs generated for you.
- Technical information — IP address, browser type, device type and pages visited, collected through standard server logs and cookies.
3. How we use information
- To provide the service, including processing your requests and returning generated results.
- To meter usage and calculate charges against your credit balance.
- To operate, secure and troubleshoot our infrastructure, including detecting abuse and fraud.
- To provide customer support and respond to your enquiries.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
4. AI processing and third-party model providers
GeekYo AI routes requests to foundation models operated by third-party providers. To generate a result, your prompt and any reference material you attach are transmitted to the provider that serves the model you selected, together with the minimum technical data required to complete the request.
Because these providers operate independently, their own terms and privacy practices apply to the processing they perform. We select providers that contractually restrict the use of API content for training their public models wherever that option is available. We recommend that you do not submit confidential material to a model unless you have confirmed that the provider’s data-handling terms meet your requirements.
We may retain prompts and outputs as part of your account history so that you can review and re-use your work.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to secure your session. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate traffic to the website. You can block cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the platform will not work without the strictly necessary ones.
6. When we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only in these circumstances:
- With model and infrastructure providers, to the extent needed to fulfil your request.
- With payment processors, to complete top-ups and billing.
- With service providers that host, monitor or secure our systems, under contract and only on our instructions.
- Where required by law, regulation or valid legal process.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information until it is replaced.
7. International transfers
Our infrastructure and the providers we route to may be located outside your country. Where information is transferred internationally we take steps to ensure it continues to receive an appropriate level of protection.
8. Data retention
We retain account and usage records for as long as your account is active, and afterwards for as long as we need them to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. You may request deletion of your account and its content at any time, subject to those obligations.
9. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, key management and monitoring to protect your information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your API keys and account credentials confidential — an API key is a billing credential.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our processing of your personal information, and to receive a portable copy of it. To exercise any of these rights, email terrytao@geek-yo.com. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
11. Children
The platform is intended for business and professional use and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves. We will revise the date at the top of this page, and where changes are material we will provide notice through the platform or by email.
